Why Taqwa School?

Taqwa School is an inclusive Independent Islamic school that welcomes students from all cultural backgrounds and faiths. We are administered independently and have close and positive links with the Muslim community of the ACT. Whilst we are a developing independent school in the ACT landscape, we have a strong foundation of excellence in education. Uniquely, we offer Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Qu’ran to all our students. Our students come from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Lebanon, and Australia, to name a few. Our current staff is Australian trained yet ethnically diverse having backgrounds based in Australia, Algeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and India.

  • Cultivating Islamic personal hygiene practices (Wudu)
  • Supported by the Imam Council of ACT (Imam Mohammed Swaiti, Imam Adam Konda, and Imam Nourredine Laraibi)
